So far, so good. I've feared the whole nausea thing but so far I'm doing well and I will thank my lucky stars if I never have it. For those of you who feel comforted by it, may you have my share :)
However, the last 3 days, I start to get CRAZY TIRED around 3 PM at the office and by the time I'm home (like right now) my eyes are closing. I will probably go to bed in a half hour and fall asleep not too much later. When my alarm's gone off this week, I've woken at 7 AM so tired that I'm sure I could stay asleep until noon.
I can't imagine it's the pregnancy - I mean, I'm 4w5d's! C'mon! The little embryo is probably a fraction of the size of a grain of rice - it can't be demanding of my body yet. So I thought, maybe it's the meds and that could be. Also the tension, the stress, the anxiety sapping my energy mid-day.
Hope you're all doing fab! :)

I think it's the meds, personally. They kicked my arse, something bad. I slept a LOT in 1st trimester. Sometimes 2 naps a day, am and afternoon. Much better once I went off of them.
As for m/s... it's possibly a bit early for that to kick in. Mine didn't really hit until week 5 or 6, if I remember correctly. Maybe you'll get lucky and skip it entirely, or if not, you'll get the kind I had (mild.)
If you do get it: protein is your friend. Make sure you get protein at 3-4 small meals a day and it will really help.
Sweet dreams! :D
I thought I was going to fall asleep with my eyes open today at the office at around 3pm too! I gave up trying to concentrate and stood up to do tasks that required some movement or I would have laid my head down on my keyboard! Remember, it takes a lot of energy to do what you're doing so take as many naps as you want!
Hate to burst you drug induced slumber bubble, but I think the little grain of rice is doin' a number on you! As a formerly pregnant woman with no added chemicals (our first was so easy, what happened?!), the first trimester I was DYING for sleep. And I felt like crap, but hopefully you are avoiding that. Of course everyone is different, but I think the tiny rice-let is sucking you dry. You are the site of a chemical miracle of life (think Genesis Project in Search for Spock) and that takes some serious energy! Second trimester I was all perky again, and I think that is common. Good luck regardless - thinking of you!
I think it is your little one causing all that tiredness. I mean, we both did the same protocol and on the PIO and the estrogen, I was never all THAT tired. Then a few days after the beta I was falling asleep by 8PM and seriously dragging by 4 in the afternoon. Don't underestimate how much work your body is doing right now!
As a fertile lurker on your blog, congratulations on the "grain of rice." How very exciting for you.
As a mom who has been pregnant 8 times (yes, I really said 8), it is the baby making you tired and m/s doesn't usually kick in for me until the 6th or 7th week. Sorry to be the voice of cold reality there, but I felt someone should let you know.
If the m/s gets too bad, I'd be glad to share some tips on dealing with it. I literally wrote the pamphlet for my OB's office.
Again, woo-hoo on the new guy! Now back to lurking.....
I was very tired the entire first tri. Could sleep anywhere, anytime. So, imo, that's your culprit.
Hope the m/s stays away!!
Yay for no nausea/vomiting. Ick.
Sorry about the fatigue, but maybe that'll be the worst thing that you get.
When's the first ultrasound??
Sky - a very belated CONGRATS! I've been away from the blog world for awhile. I am so happy for you.
Not to put a damper on the no m/s, but I'm with onwardandsideways - my m/s-all-day nausea didn't kick in until about 8 weeks. But it was never that bad (like vomiting, needed fluids)...and even when it was, it was easy to put it in perspective.
I'm so excited for you!
I never really had morning sickness with my daughter - maybe a few moments of queasiness, but nothing that made much difference on a day to day basis.
But I was tired - sooo tired, and I felt kind of woozy and almost-dizzy. I am sure it's the HCG, since I have to tell you I can ALREADY feel some of that now. It's subtle, but recognizable. I fell asleep at the pool today and I am not a napper - luckily I could blame it on "jet lag"!
