Day 3 (and, yes, it will be a Day 5 transfer!)

The good news just keeps on coming!

Today they want to see 6+ cells. Out of the 30 that fertilized:

26 embryos with mostly 8 cells
2 5 cells
2 4 cells

Nothing has arrested, though he did say he "wouldn't be surprised if the 4 cell ones don't go anywhere."

He told me to expect a call from my nurse later today with instructions for Saturday.

Over the moon? No, not over the moon yet but it's certainly getting closer. :)

I seriously had to read that again ... TWENTY SIX 8-cell embryos! With 2-4 potential trailers ... No wonder donor egg is such an awesome option!!

WOOT WOOT ... you may not be over the moon, but I sure am for you!!!

So so happy,
Polly

I'm with Polly - I had to read it twice, as well - 26 8-celled embryos! I must say I am amazed - who produces eggs/embryos like that? I must confess - I have donor envy!! If my donor performs half as well as yours, I'll be thrilled. That is awesome news - I think you should be over the moon. So glad it's all finally working out for you!!

That is seriously AMAZING! You got lucky in the donor department- totally worth waiting for! 26 eight cell embies? that's nuts! Enjoy Denver until Saturday - then it is strict bed rest young lady!

Oh girls, thank you so much. The "over the moon" reference is about my nurse asking me on Monday (day of retrieval - when there was no indication of anything if I was "over the moon" yet).

I'm just still very guarded - never really got over last summer's chemical pregnancy a couple of days after the climactic dinner with my girlfriends toasting (me with seltzer) with the HPT stick on the table (a little Yuk, I know!).

And I'm very much struggling with the SET vs. double embryo transfer on Saturday. Even if I have a dozen eggs to freeze (wouldn't that be magical!), it's another 6K to do it (inc. travel) and then what do I do - another SET?

Such a difficult decision. I only hope that Saturday I will have such good facts before me that the answer - whichever way - comes easily.

'Kay, I'm gonna' call this one early: your pregnant, honey. Unless something really awful happens -- which is won't -- I predict big fat + for ya'!

Keep us posted, this is so exciting!

Oh no! Only 26 instead of 30 good looking embryos? What shall you do?!

Just in case it wasn't clear . . . the previous comment was said with love. :)

HA! Kami, I know it was. It was actually funny - I laughed out loud!

Yeah, I'm really going to need a re-group with Dr. Surrey about the 4 that aren't where they're supposed to be! ;)

This cycle has been phenominal so far - there is just no other way to interpret it.

Two more days....

TWENTY SIX rock star embies? Seriously? I can't freaking believe your donor is older than me and not only produces twice as many eggs but three times as many embies! I'm seriously sending a WTF memo to my ovaries!

(P.S. In case it wasn't obvious, I am estatic for you.)
