Typical stupid chick who believed motherhood after 40 would be easy. It wasn't; and that's a gross understatement. Thanks to CCRM and a lot of money, a little lady made me a mommy and I found love and weakness in myself I never knew existed.

Happy New Year!
To all of the ladies who've received their BFP's in the last few months, 2009 will bring you the greatest joys!
And to those of us working towards that BFP, may it be just around the corner!
Hey Polly, good to hear from you. Umm....no, you may find what I have - CCRM is a big clinic that's world renowned and they're DAMNED good at what they do and come with heavy-hitting stats that are hard to argue with.
BUT BUT BUT they're not the touchy-feely holding hand kind of people and though I normally don't lean toward touchy-feely, in this situation a little communication from them every couple of weeks acknowledging I am here, waiting and haven't dropped dead, would be exceptionally nice.
And I don't want to call/email them either. I know my nurse would be exasperated. I did ask her 3 weeks ago how things are coming along and she said she thought it would still be the 6-9 month wait they originally quoted me back in October.
That's awful frustrating, given SEVERAL women at CCRM have been offered a profile MUCH MUCH SOONER.
It takes an extraordinary amount of patience to get through this.

Happy New Year to you!
So, do they give you updates on donor availability with CCRM or is it that they just call one day and let you know they have a match?
Here's to 2009!!!
