"Fasting Homocysteine level is DEVINE"

That was the email from my nurse today. Whew! One thing down. Looks like my protocol would probably change only by the extra Folic Acid. Cool with me.

Now for my other worry (it really is always something). Several weeks after the D&C, I was still spotting very very very lightly every day - mostly just on the tissue. Five weeks after the D&C I got my period - for two days and bright red and plenty though not as heavy as usual (and I'm pretty heavy normally). That was on September 20th. I went in for a transvaginal ultrasound today (mostly because I requested it) to see where my lining was and it's 6mm and I have no symptoms of a period coming whatsoever (didn't have the usual PMS in the period after the D&C either).

Of course, I'm terrified that now I have the dreaded scar tissue issue or that I'll forever have lining problems.

I had a D&C summer of '07 to remove a uterine polyp and I had no scar tissue from that and obviously have always had good linings and implantation was no problem.

Seriously, can I just STOP worrying until AFTER I know what's what?! WTF is wrong with me and my hyperworries? I'm really praying this won't be the case and that my uterus is perfectly fine and healthy and that my cycle is just out of swing.

Your body may just be adjusting after the D&C not to mention the cycle meds. I was worried about my lining too. It was like 2 or 3mm at my mock cycle at CCRM. Schooly just pumped up my meds and I did fine. I think you'll be okay. Hang in there.

P.S. Yeah on the H level. That is really good news. One less shot is always a good thing!

I think it does take a while for your cycles to get back in the swing of things. Will you have another saline ultrasound to prep for the next go? The scar tissue shows up as flaps off of the lining, so they should be able to see what's going on in there.

I think it's okay to worry a little - hyperworry isn't so good, but making sure all your bases are covered is just perfectly fine.

I think it took my body a few cycles to get back to normal after my second D&C (don't remember what happened after the first). Then again, I'd been on and off hormones for so long, I have no idea what was normal anymore so maybe I'm wrong? IF is just nuts...makes us crazy. Don't worry about overworrying b/c that's crazy too:-) We will never be normal again...and, to be honest, after the last few months, you will probably be nervous for your first pregnancy until you hold the baby....as I've learned...its just where we are right now. Stay on top of things, but try to let yourself relax a little too. This comment sounds crazy but it sounded normal in my head! Oh well...hopefully you get the idea.

Oh, and I worried about scar tissue too after the D&C but then I also found out that lots of RE's do D&C's before a cycle to HELP with implantation and I heard tons of stories from friends that they got pregnant the second month after a D&C - they insist it helps with implantation....so there is another side to all that worry!

I'm glad to hear you got some good news today. I'm sure your doc will want you to do an HSG again to make sure there is no scar tissue. If you have any doubts, just talk to your doc. Hugs.

There will always be something to worry about. It is just the nature of that blasted IF beast.

I'm glad today gave you good news and hope each step along the way pans out just the same.
