Blistering cold in NJ

and I love it! No, I'm not even a little bit jealous of you chicks who live in warmer climates - I actually feel sad for you. This is the life! :)

Some time around April it gets a bit old - just in time to truly welcome in the warmth. I came from Miami on Christmas day and, unless you grew up there, I just don't get how it isn't depressing.

How is Santa supposed to ride a sleigh in his big ass suit in the heat? Ugh!

I agree, the heat down here (not Florida, but hot enough) sucks. Every year my DH and I threaten to move far far away..but alas, with family in this state, we're staying put.

I love the cold!!

I love the seasons! I'm with you. A day or two after christmas it was creepy here...went up to what they say was 40 but it felt like 60 with the sun. Outside, walking the dogs wearing just a sweatshirt...freaked me out! I mean its WINTER!!!!

Four years in Rhode Island pretty much cured me of any romantic ideas about winter. Of course, it was the worst possible combination of freezing wind and icy rain - rarely did we have actual snow.

Now, I'm not sure I'd ever be willing to give up our Christmas Day walks on the beach. But I'm a very finicky gal, temerature-wise. I'm most comfortable in a 72 F - 78 F range (outside weather, hate too much indoor heating). It's 47 F and raining here today and I'm shivering!

LMAO!

I love seasons. I do not love "blistering cold". And I have most certainly been to NJ during this part of the year and "blistering" is an accurate description. And I do not love it. I don't even like it. Not even a little bit. So it's all yours. ;P

Girl you can have it all! (-; I did my time in the Midwest with a 6-day a week paper route for 5 years on a bike. My childhood home was in the middle of 3 lots on a corner - I shoveled enough snow to never care if I see a white Christmas again. I love my CA green flip-flop wearing Christmas.

Hi Sky...sorry I've been absent from the blog world for awhile, but I just wanted to say Happy New Year. I really hope 2010 is a great one for you!

And I'm with you on the cold/winter thing...mostly ;-).I live in Michigan, so we get our share of it. I enjoy it until about end of February, then I am ready to see the tulips.

LOL! I agree with you, I really appreciate the cold during the winter months! The sweaters and the hot chocolate. Feeling the warmth when it hits your skin upon entering a cozy house! We honeymooned in Hawaii 12 yrs. ago during the holidays and it did feel weird seeing santa boat onto the shore (no lie)! By New Years eve I was ready to leave!

I'm new to your site and am enjoying reading your entries.
