Bedrest is AWFUL. How women endure months of this in high risk pregnancies is beyond me. My back hurts.

The nurse told me I could only lay on my side or back but NO STOMACH! WTF?! I EXCLUSIVELY sleep on my stomach and no other way. It's not that I don't want to sleep on my back or side, it's that once you're asleep, you're oblivious to what you do.

BUT, thankfully, I must have been so conscious of my position that I stayed on my side last night (with the help of pillows propped around me).

Obsessing over symptoms and hate to say, nothing! I mean, I have some sporadic cramps but that's it. No twinges (which I had several of last year when I did get a BFP - albeit short-lived). So, already I'm not holding out a lot of hope and have second-guessed my eSET decision quite a bit - as expected ('cause I'm neurotic!).

But, enough of my complaining bullshit. I have 9 great blasts that are vitrified (6 top notch!) and potentially another bunch have been frozen today (but embryology won't call until Monday).

I'm looking forward to 6:00 AM tomorrow when I can shower, blow this popsicle stand and head home to my furbabies - who really make life so worth living! :)

Now, now, now, don't you go over to Doomsville like that. Reminds me of a certain other blogger who, ahem, ended up with a +.

But yeah, with ya' on the bed rest, sucks big time. Hang in there and I hope the day/night passes quickly.

Remember to be careful on the lifting with your bags, etc. Don't be afraid to ask for help at baggage claim.

And remember too, lots of people feel nada in the 2ww (and even after) and end up quite pregnant. Those twinges, etc., don't mean much early on, they are primarily from the meds, if you get them at all.

I go underground for awhile and look what I find here!! It sounds like you had an incredible cycle with your donor!! Wow. With stats like that your decision for an eSET sounds great.

Hoping your travel tomorrow goes great and that your symptoms are popping up very soon. Hugs.

I bet you've never been so excited to get up at 6am eh?! I'm sorry the bedrest was tough...you're almost done and then you can have your freedom back again. As for symptoms, every time is different and it's still a little early for full on m/s or cramping. I'm going to remind you that you were looking for some m/s later on ;)

Lost in Space - Wow! It's so good to see you surface.

Hey, I'd love to catch up on your new blog and I'd sent you an email but I don't think you replied with a password :( Then again, I might have missed it with the auto emails I get from a DE group I'm in (and rarely participate in).

Would really love to know how you're doing and offer some support.

Kayjay - I was actually in the CCRM lobby on Friday morning around 10:30 AM (to have rings drawn on my butt with a Sharpie so I could be sure I was injecting PIO in the right spot - I hit a vein which hurt, bled like crazy and freaked me out!). Anyway, I looked for you but no one fit your description. You were probably on your way home by then!

I'm so glad transfer went well and I think you made the absolute best decision based on all the wonderful information you had. It sounds like the blast you put back was a real winner and since you really don't want twins, I think you made a great decision. Plus as you said, the fact that they now vitrify everything is awesome. Hopefully, you won't have to come back any time real soon but I think based on all the information you made a good choice. Try not to beat yourself up too much. I hope you have/had a safe trip back and that your symptoms are starting to kick in.

I have been pregnant 4 times and three off those after an IVF cycle. One IVF cycle was an outright BFN and one was a very low chemical. For me, at least, the symptoms were always exactly the same. I think it is the massive amounts of PIO. So don't stress!!! Yeah, right.

How long do they have you on bedrest and lying on your side? A couple of years ago my RE said their were no studies indicating it actually helped although he still officially recommended it.

Anyway, enough of the assvice!

I think you did the right thing transferring one. And you have so many great ones on ice! Wohoo!

You crack me up - hope you are off the bedrest soon! I love IVF40's bedrest remedies (ice cream really does help most problems!)

Some people feel implantation and some don't, so try not to freak out. I transfered only one embie my first 2 IVFs and got pg both times. And your embies sound top notch - so I'm sure your chances holding on once it implants are excellent!

I think "signs" during the 2WW are a bunch of baloney. I had all types of cramps and twinges, and I got a BFN. I think all they do is make up hope for the best, like we need any help in that area.

Glad all went well and hope you have a safe flight home.

I just found your blog. I am also 40+ and trying for a baby via IVF. My husband & I are going 1 more round and are then moving on to donor egg. I'd like to learn more about the process - if you're willing to chat via email, I'd be most grateful. babette2@optonline.net
thanks and best of luck!
